USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Housing is backed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This loan is designated specifically for eligible suburban and rural homes (so homes in big cities usually don\u2019t qualify). If you find a home that you like, your loan officer can check to make sure it\u2019s in an eligible area for you. USDA offers 30- year and 15-year fixed rate mortgages. It does not matter if you\u2019re a first-time homebuyer or repeat buyer you can still qualify. Vacation homes and Investment properties do not qualify under the USDA guidelines, the home must be used as your primary residence.
